On Friday, 28 July at 18:30, we kick off Zomer in de Kloostertuin with the experimental film screening Under The Hair by Maud Narfin Lonis (NML).
The film builds on the artist's previous work exploring the meaning of body parts for the individual. With Under The Hair, NML brings forward silenced stories about the construction of social identity, while distancing from the usual binary oppositions. What would an afroqueer gaze look like?
From Italy through Slovenia, Belgium, France to Sweden, "Under The Hair" echoes the sensitive relationship we have with our hair. The video work thus brings together five voices beyond borders.
After the screening, at 19:15, there will be a Q&A session.
