The artist’s self-organization
Summer school from 23 to 29 August 2015
Is art (still) a science of freedom, and how do we organize ourselves as artists today? These are the questions on which the MOBILE AUTONOMY summer school will focus. During lectures, workshops, debates and other activities with international reputable academics and artists (or artists’ collectives) like Åbäke, Nico Dockx, Pascal Gielen, Erik Hagoort, Thomas Hirschhorn, Hotel Charleroi, Isabell Lorey, Oda Projesi, Tara Cranswick, Emma Rushton & Derek Tyman, Gerald Raunig and Raqs Media Collective strategies and structures will be examined that are (and can be) used to maintain the artist’s artistic autonomy.
This summer school is a first highlight of the Lokaal 01 TRAFFIC program.
