I Am The Arm is a performance created in response to The Porous Lodge by Yoel Pytowski at the invitation of Zuzana Rachowska and the artist.
I Am The Arm is a time-based performance by Canadian choreographer, poet and dancer Sandy Williams in collaboration with Belgian dancer and performer Nick Robaey. Created specifically for Yoel Pytowski's The Porous Lodge, this site-specific choreography draws inspiration from the work of Dutch conceptual artist Bas Jan Ader (1942–1975), as well as from poetry and cinema. The two performers engage with Pytowski's installation through movement, accompanied by a live bass guitar score, composed uniquely for this piece. The performance starts at 7 p.m. and lasts approximately two hours. Visitors are free to come and go as they please during the performance.
